Three Traditional Lines

Tiroler Reine is located in the Ziller Valley and cold-processes its soaps — meaning the glycerin formed during saponification is retained rather than washed out. These soaps, with sheep's milk, beeswax, and alpine herbs, last longer than industrial bars and have a subtle scent. Castelbel from Porto has been around since 1917 and supplies vegetable soaps under the labels Castelbel, Portus Cale, and Ach.Brito, as found in good Portuguese pharmacies. Walde complements the range with classic German core soaps and sheep's milk soaps.

A side note: Cold-processed soaps like to dry between uses. Place them on a soap dish with drainage — they will last twice as long as they would if softened in a damp dish. A simple care detail that recoups the price difference compared to supermarket soap in less than a month.
