Goufrais – the cool indulgence

Goufrais, the melt-in-your-mouth cocoa confectionery, is a tribute to the popular Alsatian yeast cake: the Gugelhupf. While every baker there has their own cherished recipe and competes to make the best Gugelhupf, Michael Keller has already found the best chocolate Gugelhupf recipe.

For almost 20 years, he has been producing Goufrais – the cool indulgence – at his company CMF Keller in Weil am Rhein. It's called "the cool indulgence" because the aromas of the high-quality ingredients truly develop best when the cocoa confectionery comes directly from the refrigerator. After an initial crispness, a pure chocolate experience slowly unfolds, as the dark, sweet confectionery is dusted with extra dark cocoa powder, then it becomes melt-in-your-mouth, heavenly creamy, and incredibly long-lasting. Le Petit are made from high-quality ingredients, alcohol-free, gluten-free, and nut-free.

Goufrais Kakao Konfekt is quite sensitive to heat and can only be shipped at moderate temperatures up to 20 degrees Celsius. In summer, we recommend choosing express shipping with a cooling pack.
