Karl May Gelber Muskateller 2024 – Aromatic Experience for Connoisseurs

The Karl May Gelber Muskateller 2024 is a dry white wine that captivates with its intense Muscat aroma, notes of yellow fruits, and vibrant freshness. A fragrant aperitif, a good companion to summer dishes, a versatile wine for connoisseurs: not too dry, with a medium body, good acid balance, and moderate alcohol content.

  • Aromatic Bouquet: Intense Muscat notes with floral nuances.
  • Fresh Taste: Lively acidity and harmonious balance.
  • Versatile: Ideal as an aperitif or with light dishes.

Aroma Profile of the Muskateller 2024

The Gelber Muskateller, one of the most aromatic grape varieties of all, delights in the bouquet with a distinct, pleasantly spicy Muscat note, which gave it its name, as well as with floral notes of rose and acacia blossom. Aromas of ripe yellow stone fruits, such as apricot and peach, and zesty citrus notes are complemented by exotic fruits, such as lychee.

Thus, the Karl May Muskateller 2024 convinces with a Muscat bouquet, juicy yellow fruitiness, and floral notes. On the palate, the Gelber Muskateller presents itself fresh and lively, with a harmonious acid structure that supports the fragrant aroma and ensures a balanced taste experience.

Food Pairing Recommendations

This Muskateller is excellent as an aperitif and pairs particularly well with light appetizers, salads, or Asian dishes. Its freshness and aroma make this organic wine from Rheinhessen a versatile culinary companion.

Weingut Karl May: Tradition Meets Modernity

Weingut Karl May stands for sustainable viticulture and high-quality wines. With the Muskateller 2024, the winery once again presents a wine that combines tradition and modernity and delights wine lovers. To harvest ripe grapes in autumn, Fritz and Peter May begin gentle pruning in January and early defoliation of the grape zone for optimal sun exposure, as well as yield reduction through green harvesting in early summer. Selective hand-picking of the grapes often takes place in several passes. The path to the new winery is not far, where the grapes are gently processed further. The mash is gently pressed, and the must is spontaneously fermented, remains on the lees for a long time, and is aged in stainless steel tanks. A small portion (5%) is aged in used wooden barrels and later blended, which brings complexity, richness, and a hint of creaminess to the estate wine.
