This small wooden box contains three 5 cl bottles of the following rare spirits:

AP: The AP is a sweet wine made from apples from the Swabian Alb, matured in wooden barrels. It's a partially fermented apple wine fortified with apple brandy and then aged for 18 months in chestnut barrels. Fortification stops the fermentation, preserving the fruit's sweetness in the glass.

BP: For the BP, Jörg Geiger selects the Gelbmöstler and Speckbirne varieties. According to an old recipe, these are first allowed to "sweat" to develop their full aroma and fragrance. Only then are they gently pressed before the concentrated sweet juice is allowed to ferment. To preserve the natural sweetness and intense fruitiness, Jörg Geiger stops the fermentation with high-proof pure pear brandy, resulting in a sweet wine with 23% vol. alcohol content. This is followed by at least 18 months of aging in new acacia barrels and, for the most part, in used Sauternes barrels.

ZP: In terms of color, the ZP shows a dense ruby red that extends to the rim. Its opulent aroma of fully ripe plums with marmalade undertones and creamy, soft dried fruit; a hint of vanilla and subtle smoky notes. On the palate, a very dense opening of mature plums paired with notes of black blackberry, with a good harmony between fruit, sweetness, and supporting alcohol.

Manufaktur Jörg Geiger – Sweet wines and brandies from fruit

Manufaktur Jörg Geiger is located in the small community of Schlat, eight kilometers southeast of Göppingen, in the heart of the Swabian Alb. Here, in this cultural landscape characterized by mountainous forests, juniper heaths, and traditional orchards with fruit trees that are sometimes over 100 years old, is the home of Jörg Geiger and his manufactory.

The youthful-looking Jörg Geiger grew up in his parents' restaurant, the over 300-year-old Gasthof Lamm. In addition to the well-run restaurant, his father operated a small distillery. There he produced single-variety distillates, such as the Stuttgart Gaishirtle – a true rarity from an old pear variety. The passion for distilling and preserving old varieties was passed down from father to son. Since 1994, Jörg Geiger has continued to run the guesthouse and distill fruit. Although he has become known for the sparkling wine from the Champagne Bratbirne and his alcohol-free Prisecco, his fruit brandies should also be noted. Like these special sweet wines made from fruit from Swabian traditional orchards, self-distilled fruit brandies, and plenty of rest and time to mature in old wooden barrels.
